Blue Horizon

In the rugged countryside of southern Albania, Blue Horizon is perched bottom a high hill only a few steps from the sea. The hotel is designed as a white orthogonal shape, seemingly in contrast with the rolling green hills with olive groves and organic agriculture. By opening and closing in different directions the hotel plays with the spectators’ gaze, framing the landscape, emphasizing it’s beauty even more. Blue Horizon is designed as a traditional building by using local materials translated into contemporary architecture.
