02 Sep Starts the process of the Detailed Project for the “Çerçiz Topulli” Square Revitalization and Underground Parking, in the Old Bazaar of Gjirokastra

It’s our pleasure to inform you that MVM Architecture has been selected to Design the Detailed Project – for the “Çerçiz Topulli” Square Revitalization and Underground Parking, in the Old Bazaar of Gjirokastra, under Albanian-American Development Foundation Entrepreneurship Program.

We are selected as the design firm together with Dea Studio to perform, accomplish and assist in the delivery of comprehensive project design services resulting in the development of final plans & specifications with all regulatory approvals; coordination with partners, stakeholders, regulatory agencies and other relevant entities also overseeing the construction phase of the project.

We seek to turn Gjirokastra Region into a tourist destination with diversified models of tourism activities, all oriented towards sustainability. The goal is to increase global touristic awareness, impact and influence the flow of tourists to visit this area and other nearby local tourism bases.

The recent tourism promotion policies and increasing tourism rates in the city have given a boost to the traffic in the area, especially in the high tourism season, putting a pressure on the road network and increasing the parking demand. In order to accommodate the rising demand of parking it is necessary to provide off-street parking facilities, in close proximity of the most visited areas, where the parkers can reach the desired destination as quickly as possible.
